HOW DOES ESP STABILITY CONTROL WORK?
ESP Stability Control has inbuilt intelligence that reacts 40 times faster than a human can. It uses speed sensors on each wheel, a rotation sensor and steering angle sensor to check whether the car is travelling on its intended course. The moment it detects that the vehicle is not travelling in the direction intended it intervenes, instantly manipulating the delivery of engine power and controlling the brake pressure applied to each individual wheel. These work together to put the vehicle back on its chosen path – and out of harm’s way. But it doesn’t stop there. Hyundai’s ESP Stability Control includes a TCS Traction Control System to ensure you get power when you need it – whilst preventing wheelspin.
